Yeah when it comes down to it her accepting his kiss doesn't really make since, also it doesn't seem as though she has any sincere romantic affection toward him for a kiss to be reasonable. I think the author bummed on the romantic appeal between those too, he nailed it with Ram so well that Emilia feelings for Subaru just seems non-existent, leaving a very one-sided looking romance where Emilia seems to be forcing herself.

Together for a year. Apart for the 4th month. I found 2 main points for myself in the future:

1: dont be nodding your head to every single thing the person you want to stay with says, especially for problems. Its fine to disagree, and have a discussion in resolving issues. To summarize, unwillingness to accept/acknowledge your position is just a heads up that you will either be licking their foot or it wont work out.

2: leave room for them to do something. To make new plans, show interest in what is planned. Have a dual initiative ffs, something like that.

Want to point out that this works both ways and I understand i should do this too. But i swear, theres a lot of things that you might take for granted and see that they are not a lot of times. Bummed me out, especially considering that i really liked that girl for who she was.
